We are announcing the kickoff of a capital campaign to help furnish our new facility. Below is a letter from our Chief Executive Office, Quez Williams regarding this campaign.
You may never know the names of our 515 club members, but they will never forget the impact of your gift on their lives.
Last year the support of people just like you, allowed us to provide greater than 5,000 snacks and meals to children in our community. More than 100 of our members participated greater than 1,000 hours of life skills, leadership development, and academic support programs in 2015. Greater than 75% of the children that we served live at poverty levels lower than 97.9% of America’s children, however 100% of them were successfully promoted to the next grade level with 0% of them becoming teen parents since the inception of our organization.
We are blessed with an amazing opportunity to offer even more program to even more of Etowah County’s children. The City of Gadsden was gracious enough to provide us with $1.2 Million in renovations to the former Forrest Middle School, allowing us to provide athletic, academic, and leadership programs to nearly 300 children each day! Our new club site will allow us to have more that 17,000 square feet of programming space.
Our new building will have the latest technology, with great tennis courts, football fields, and baseball/softball diamonds just outside of our backdoor. We have had over 1,000 children come through our doors in 2015, and we are greatly looking forward to the further expansion of our youth programs. Unfortunately our new building will require additional furnishings and supplies, which were not included in the renovation gift. Within this club lies a unique opportunity for you to partner in the building of many dreams.
You will find in the attached documents opportunities for eternal naming rights to various rooms and programming areas, along with many other opportunities to give. I can assure you that at whatever level, your fully tax deductible gift will make a lasting impact on the lives on many children. We are truly grateful for your support.
